WordPress Community Advocate, Brian Gardner, Joins WP Engine

StudioPress founder and one of the architects of the modern WordPress theme ecosystem, Brian Gardner, will join WP Engine as a Principal Developer Advocate. He will wear many different hats but will further enhance the developer experience at WP Engine by charting a course to advance WordPress and lead developer relations, specifically helping people with the transition to Gutenberg (block editor). When some were wary of the inclusion of Gutenberg, Gardner led the charge in not only making StudioPress compliant but designing specifically for StudioPress. Gutenberg is the future of content creation in WordPress. While the transition is still ongoing, and many are still apprehensive about adopting Gutenberg, Gardner has successfully managed the transition to the new editor with StudioPress.  The same will be said of another big change on the horizon, Full Site Editing.
